help with the GSD I brought back home from an abusive h - 12/09/2007
Hi, I feel for you as you did very much for your dog. As I would have. Your best bet is to adopt him out to a home with no kids, cats dogs and owner(s) who know how to deal with abused dogs.
If need be, put a gentle muzzle on him so he won't hurt other dogs.
This boy can only be around 100% confident dogs that understand and won't strike back at him. I know of only one dog in my pack and most dogs are not that confident nor that tolerant as he is. It will take quite a long time probably.
There are other homeopathic treatments that may calm him down. But you need an vet who knows this stuff OR a homeopath for people. Rescue Remedy is not it. It's not strong enough.
Pls ask the people on because the most knowledgeable breeders are on that board.
All the best! And God Bless for bringing him back home!
