Dog won't stop pooping on carpet - 09/20/2005
My husband and I recently adopted a 1-2 yo GSD from a rescue. His foster mom told us he never had an accident, but we can't get him from pooping on the carpet everyday when we leave for work. We take him on 15-20 minute walks every morning and again at lunch and still he poops on the carpet. we don't want to have to crate him unless it is the last options

I think crating him is your only solution. It is not cruel and it will help him be a better happier pet. My GSD puppy loves her crate. She knows when its time to retire there. It may take a day or 2 for your 2 year old to get used to it.
